Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Booking Agreement & Insurance

If a Booking Agreement Form has not been completed by the customer they will NOT be covered by our insurance policy – therefore we would be unable to offer you our services.

All dogs are assessed before they are allowed to join us.

Pooch'n'Pals will require copies of current insurers paperwork.

2. Microchipping, Identification & Vaccinations

All dogs by law must be microchipped and have an identification tag and collar with the owner’s details on. Without these, Pooch'n'Pals will not be able to offer you any of our services.

All dogs must be up to date with all vaccinations. A photocopy will be needed for our records.

All dogs must be up to date with flea and worm treatment.

3. Flea Policy

If fleas are found on your dog whilst in our care, they will need to be collected immediately.

There will also be a £200 charge to cover the necessary flea treatment that our home will need due to your pet bringing fleas in.

Your dog will not be allowed back to daycare until they have been flea free for at least four weeks. We may ask for veterinary proof that your dog is clear.

4. Veterinary Care

If your pet requires veterinary attention during the course of the booking, we will arrange for your pet to see a suitable Veterinary Surgeon. Any excess bill incurred will be required to be paid directly to the vets.

5. Medication

Pooch'n'Pals are able to administer all non-injectable medications as specified or required. Please make sure all medication is clearly labelled and dosage instructions are provided.

6. Health, Diet & Allergies

Pooch'n'Pals will not be held responsible for any allergic or adverse reactions due to dietary requirements or ongoing illnesses which the owner has not informed us of.

We cannot care for or walk ill dogs or dogs known to have an infection, even on a one-to-one basis, because of the risk of cross infection.

7. Neutering & Behaviour

Dogs are allowed to attend daycare until they are 14 months old, after which they must be neutered. However, should your dog start showing any ‘behavioural changes’ we would have to reassess and have a chat about how we move forwards.

Bitches don’t have to be spayed, but Pooch'n'Pals will not be held responsible or liable for any bitch that may fall pregnant.

We accept friendly, social dogs. We reserve the right to stop daycare/walking a dog if he or she shows aggression to people or other dogs.

8. Payment & Cancellations

Payment will be taken 1 week in advance whilst they are on trial. Once the trial has been past, it will go onto a monthly invoice system. We accept cash or bank transfer.

1 week’s notice is required for cancellations to be fully refunded.

Cancellations made due to extreme weather conditions will be fully refunded.

Places are limited, so if your dog doesn’t attend for any reason, fees will still apply.

We will try to give 24 hours’ notice if we cannot care for or walk your dog. Any cancellations we make will be refunded.

9. Collection & Late Collection

Any dog not collected or able to be returned home within the agreed timescale will be charged at £10 per hour. This will need to be paid before the dog is returned home.

If you are unable to collect your pet and require someone else to do so, notification will be necessary beforehand by phone call. Failure to do so will result in your pet not being released until confirmation has been received from the owner, and extra charges may incur.

10. Overnight Boarding

Any dogs boarding overnight will potentially be boarded with other families.

11. Holidays & Bank Holidays

We aim to give you at least six weeks’ notice of our holidays.

Bank Holidays will be charged at double rate. This will also include Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

12. Liability

Pooch'n'Pals cannot accept any liability for any loss, injury or death during the duration of the booking.
